COOKIE POLICY

1) WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are short text strings that websites we visit transmit and save on our computer. They contain information that, when we return to a site that we have already visited, enable more effective and pleasant navigation, as they store the visitor's preferences and tastes. The data is stored in an absolutely anonymous way, i.e. there is no connection between the stored data (e.g. IP address, browser and/or S. O. used, pages of the site visited) and the user's personal data.

2) TYPES OF COOKIES

There is a wide variety of cookies. To categorise them sensibly, we identify three attribute types: duration (lifecycle), origin and purpose.

To the first type belong:

SESSION COOKIES: these cookies are not stored persistently on the user's device and are deleted when the browser is closed.

PERSISTENT COOKIES: instead of disappearing when the browser is closed, persistent cookies expire after a certain period of time. This means that, for the lifetime of the cookie, its information will be transmitted to the server each time the user visits the same site. For this reason, persistent cookies can be used by advertisers to record information about a user's web surfing habits for an extended period of time. They are also used to make browsing more 'convenient' for the user (e.g. they are used to keep users registered in their accounts on websites, in order to avoid the need to enter credentials for accessing websites each time they visit).

Of the second type are.

FIRST PARTY COOKIES: these are those sent to your browser directly from the site you are visiting. They can be both persistent and sessional; they are managed directly by the owner and/or manager of the site and are used, for example, to ensure its technical operation or to keep track of preferences expressed regarding the use of the site itself.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES: belong to domains other than the one shown in the address bar. These types of cookies generally appear when web pages have advertising banners or links to external websites. Most modern web browsers contain privacy settings that are able to block third-party cookies.

The third type includes:

TECHNICAL COOKIES: these are used for navigation and to facilitate the user's access and use of the site. Technical cookies are essential for example to access Google or Facebook without having to log in to all sessions.  In terms of Privacy (GDPR 2018), it is sufficient for the user visiting the site to be made aware of their use, without the need for "consent".

STATISTICAL COOKIES (ANALITYCS): these are used for site optimisation purposes, directly by the site owner, who may collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the site, but in a completely anonymous manner. If the latter condition is met, in terms of Privacy (GDPR 2018), what has already been stated for technical cookies applies: it is sufficient to inform the visitor that the site uses them

PREFERENCE MEMORISATION COOKIES: these are cookies useful to facilitate the correct use of the site by the user. They are used, for example, to keep track of the language chosen.

ADVERTISING COOKIES: these cookies are used to provide advertising space. They may be installed, either by the site owner or by third parties. Some are used to recognise individual advertising messages and to know which are selected and when. Other advertising cookies are used to assume a browsing 'profile' of the user, so that advertisements can be proposed in line with his behaviour and interests in the network. This 'profile' is anonymous and even this type of cookie does not allow the identity of the user to be traced. In this case, however, the cookie is the basis of systems to drive so-called 'behavioural advertising'.

SOCIAL NETWORK COOKIES: these allow you to share the content of the site you are visiting with other users. These are the cookies typically used to activate the "Like" or "Follow" functions of Social Networks. These functions allow Social Networks to identify their users and collect information even while they are browsing other sites.

3) WHAT COOKIES DOES THE NORMADEC SITE USE

Our site uses the following types of cookies:

TECHNICAL COOKIES and STATISTICAL COOKIES: both these types do not require consent under current legislation. The user is made aware of their use through an appropriate notice (e.g. a banner) before accessing the pages of the website.

4) COOKIE MANAGEMENT AND BROWSER SETTINGS

This website functions optimally if cookies are enabled. You can, however, decide to change the cookie management mode setting on the internet browser you usually use and delete cookies already stored on your computer.

If you disable cookies completely, you may disable certain features of the site. Even if you set your browser's cookie disabling level to the maximum, your computer will still store a small amount of information necessary for the basic functionality of any website. To make this easier for you, below you will find information on how to change your cookie settings. Please select the browser you are using:
